STANDARD-STAR, New Rochelle. N. Y. April, 1953
All This and Interest Too
SAVING was complicated in the Nineteenth century
too, as the intriguing exhibit above, now on display at the New Rochelle
Federal Savings and Loan Association, shows. A fat man will deposit the coin
in his midriff, a chicken will dash out from under a mother hen to pick up a
deposit, a mule will kick it into the bank, or William Tell will shoot an
apple off his son's head when a deposit is made. Hundreds have visited the
unusual exhibit. — Staff
