	Litchfield Enquirer, May 1941 Society to Exhibit "Mechanical Banks" Fifty Models From Ferguson Collection May Be Seen Here All Next Week All next week the Litchfield Savings Society will have more than fifty mechanical banks from the extensive collection of William F. Ferguson, treasurer of The Bank For Savings of New York City, on display in the lobby of the building. The society has extended a cordial invitation to everyone interested to drop in and see this unique display. The display will contain some of the most ingenius and interesting mechanical Banks ever put on the market. Some of Mr. Ferguson's collection are very rare, and consequently expensive at the present time, while others are interesting because of their actions when fed the necessary coin.

Ferguson 280 Fourth Avenue New York, New York Dear Mr. Ferguson: The chimpanzee bank is a dandy and Mr. Tillinghast and I are very much in your debt for permitting us to add it to the collection. We are seriously considering the setting up of a spectal case to accommodate the growing number of rare items which you have passed along to us. Our check for $25 to your order is enclosed.
